Read on for more details.

Ford recently released the first photos of the all-new 2020 Ford Escape and it is a game-changer, with a Ford Mustang-inspired look that brings athletic style and great proportions to the table. Up front, a shield-shaped trapezoidal grille clearly shares more than a family resemblance with the sixth-generation 2019 Ford Mustang, while the lower front fascia borrows considerable attitude from the race-winning Ford GT.

Lower, wider and longer than any previous Ford Escape, the 2020 Escape features a slowed roofline for great proportions and an optimized liftgate spoiler that make the 2020 Escape one of the most aerodynamic to date. The new model sheds weight and ups fuel economy for every powertrain choice, weighing in at 200 pounds lighter than the 2018 Escape.

"This all-new Escape brings a sleeker, sportier design with the capability to take you on just about any of your life’s adventures,” said Kumar Galhotra, Ford’s president, North America. “With our class-leading hybrid powertrains, customers will spend less time at the gas station and more time on the road.”

With all the magic going on in the styling department, you might think the 2020 Ford Escape is ho-hum under the good. That's until you learn there are four power choices in the 2020 Ford Escape, including two turbocharged Ecoboost engines, and two all-new hybrid powertrains that give the 2020 Escape a full-tank range of 550 miles.

“This new vehicle performs like no other Escape before,” said Jim Hughes, Escape chief program engineer. “It’s quick, it’s responsive and, in staying true to the standard set by three generations of Escapes before it, it’s a heck of a lot of fun to drive.”

The new 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, available on Titanium, will produce a spirited 250 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque for towing of up to 3,500 pounds. Meanwhile, the new 1.5-liter EcoBoost will produce 180 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque. SE Sport and Titanium models come standard with Ford’s fourth-gen hybrid system, with top speeds of up to 85 miles per hour in electric-only mode.

The plug-in hybrid variant, available on every trim level except S and SE Sport, has an all-electric range of up to 30 miles, with provisions for either 110-volt Level 1 and 240-volt Level 2 charging. Using a Level 2 charger, time from empty to fully charged is under 3.5 hours.  Inside, the 2020 Ford Escape will offer unrivaled flexibility, with sliding second row seats that allow passengers plenty of legroom, and a rear cargo area offering 37.5 cubic feet of space.

We don't have room here to list all the ways the 2020 Ford Escape is going to be better than ever when it debuts this fall. Stop in today at Heartland Ford of Heber Springs and learn how you can be one of the first to own a great Escape in 2020!
