Ford debuts the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package | Heartland Ford of Heber Springs

We love our Ford trucks here at Heartland Ford of Heber Springs, and it's always an exciting time when the Blue Oval brings something new to the table. We're pretty excited, therefore, at Ford's announcement of the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package. A new option group for the pickaxe-tough Super Duty line, the Tremor package combines special body and emblem changes, high-technology and old-school engineering to create a heavy-duty truck designed to shake things up off-road when it comes to next-level capability. Simply put, it's the most capable Ford Super Duty truck ever built, and it'll be on dealer lots this fall.

“A growing number of Super Duty customers use their trucks for more than work. They’re fishing, camping and towing boats on weekends and they go off-road, so we designed this truck specifically for them – more ground clearance, bigger shocks, bigger tires and more off-road capability,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager. “Tremor balances what customers demand in terms of work with what they need in the great outdoors.”

Equal parts workhorse and off-road adventure vehicle, the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor package will be available on XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trim levels of the F-250 and F-350 Super Duty crew cabs with the 6.75-foot cargo box, 4x4 running gear, and a single-tire rear end (sadly, they're not offering a dually model yet). Under the hood, you can order your Super Duty Tremor with either the legendary, third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke Diesel, or Ford's massive, all-new 7.3-liter high-output gasoline V8.

The Tremor gets down to off-road business with a factory lift kit, a set of aggressive 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires (the largest diameter tires available on any heavy-duty truck), equipped with model-specific black-painted alloy wheels. Crunch those numbers, and you get a big 10.8 inches of maximum ground clearance, for best-in-class water fording of up to 33 inches and the best approach and departure angles of any Ford Super Duty ever.

Out back, progressive-rate springs sustain the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor's world-class towing and hauling while allowing for the greater suspension travel you need on uneven terrain off-road, with a rear stabilizer bar that's tuned to take up the slack. Custom 1.7-inch twin-tube dampers at all four corners soak up the rough stuff, while a Dana limited slip front differential and locking rear diff with electronic shift-on-the-fly engagement keeps you ready for anything.

Underneath, the Tremor features a full set of hardened steel skid plates to protect crucial drivetrain components, and selectable drive modes help you fine tune your truck for any condition, including Eco for fuel-sipping cruising, tow/haul for just that, slippery for ice, snow/sand for low traction conditions, and a Tremor-exclusive Rock Crawl mode to take on the challenge of heavy, slick obstacles like boulders. The Super Duty Tremor also gets the F-150 Raptor's Trail Control system, which is like a slow-speed cruise control that allows you to focus on getting the perfect steering line when negotiating treacherous conditions off-road.
