Ford recently released the new features on the 2021 Edge, and the SUV looks to be one of the most technologically-advanced cars to date. Equipped with a largest-in-class touchscreen, Ford CoPilot 360 (which, by the way, we just wrote a blog about), all-new Standard Sync 4A technology and a wireless charging pad, the 2021 Edge will be more than capable of powering you into the next decade.
12-inch touchscreen
Perhaps the most impressive feature on the 2021 Edge is its standard, largest-in-class 12-inch touchscreen. The screen dominates the front console and is longer, rather than wider. The screen’s length allows for easy multitasking, something which is not possible on a typical vehicle touchscreen. Now, you can easily switch songs on your bluetooth-connected device while keeping track of where you’re going with a built-in navigation system. The touchscreen changes the way you view information and stay connected on the road.
Ford CoPilot 360
In 2018, the Ford Edge became the first SUV to be equipped with CoPilot 360. That driver-assistance system returns on the 2021 model, enabling drivers to drive easier and safer than ever before. CoPilot 360 includes features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and active park assist. SYNC 4A Technology
SYNC 4A technology is an all-new feature on the 2021 Edge. On a day-to-day basis, SYNC provides you with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as well as a conversational voice recognition assistant, which uses cloud capabilities to find data-driven answers to navigation, traffic, gas price and weather-related questions. SYNC also uses its cloud connectivity to get the latest vehicle updates from Ford without having to visit your local dealership.
Wireless Charging Pad
A nice add-on to the 2021 Edge is a wireless charging pad. This allows you to charge your mobile devices without having to remember a cable or plug them in. Simply lay your device on the pad, and it charges while you drive!
