Towing Capabilities of the 2023 Ford Bronco

The 2023 Ford Bronco makes easy work of even the most daunting off-road challenges, which makes it one of our favorite vehicles at Heartland Ford. As an extremely capable off roader and adventure vehicle, it makes sense that you might need or want to tow some things along with you. So what are the towing capabilities of the 2023 Ford Bronco?

The 2023 Ford Bronco has 10 trim levels and options packages that can impact its towing capacity. But all Broncos come standard with Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and Trailer Sway Damping. This combination of features doesn't really add much weight to the towing capacity of the Bronco but they do make towing easier and more confidence inspiring.

When it comes to options, the big one is the engine. The standard 2.3 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine makes 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, while an optional 2.7 liter turbocharged V6 makes 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Whichever you choose, you'll get a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds when properly outfitted.

But if you need more, consider the Raptor trim level. This top-level trim package features, among other hardcore off-road options, a 418 horsepower engine with 440 lb-ft of torque. This upgrade will net you a towing capacity of 4,500 pounds.

While not an extravagant amount of towing capacity, this is more than enough to haul along small campers for your next getaway or a trailer of ATVs and dirtbikes for smaller trail adventures. Which just adds to the Broncos already excellent reputation as the best vehicle available for people who like to get out into the wilderness and take the path less traveled.

We think you'll love the 2023 Ford Bronco and its pitch perfect towing capabilities. So come by Heartland Ford today and let's take a tour of our on-hand selection and get you in the Ford Bronco of your dreams today!
