The new year brings new beginnings. For many of us, it’s a time to reevaluate, reset and dream about what’s to come. For us at Heartland Ford, it’s a time of excitement. Not only can we dream about what’s to come, but we know what’s to come. Ford has released an exciting 2022 lineup and we’re excited to bring it to our Heber Springs dealership in the near future. Let’s take a moment before the new year kicks off to break down everything that is new with Ford in 2022.
The Ford Maverick
The first and perhaps most exciting thing that is coming to Heartland Ford in 2022 is the Ford Maverick. The Maverick is Ford’s new compact pickup truck. It comes in an inexpensive starting price point – $21,500 – and boasts a hybrid engine that receives 42 combined miles per gallon! The Maverick isn’t as high-powered as other Ford pickups – its maximum towing capacity is 4,000 pounds – but it still offers the versatility and capability you’d expect from a pickup truck. The all-new Ford Maverick is certainly one of the things about which we are most excited in 2022.
Ford’s Electric Lineup
While electric vehicles are not quite mainstream in North Central Arkansas, it’s not hard to envision a future in which everyone is driving an electric vehicle. Ford has taken a big step towards that vision in 2022 with its electric lineup. The most impressive electric Ford vehicle is the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, which will offer 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. Also impressive is the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, which is an extremely powerful SUV that features Ford’s first hands-free highway feature. Ford’s new 2022 electric vehicle offerings are certainly a reason for excitement.
Redesigned Ford Vehicles
Two Ford SUVs are receiving a redesign in the 2022 model year. The Ford Expedition receives new trims, new headlights, new taillights, and new wheel choices. It also will receive an upgraded 12.0-inch touchscreen with Ford Sync4 and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. The other Ford SUV to receive a redesign in 2022 is the Edge. The 2022 Ford Edge will feature standard AWD, a 12.0-inch touchscreen and a sleek new exterior.
New Trims
In addition to the two redesigned SUVs, many Ford vehicles will receive new trims in 2022. The 2022 F-150 will offer a black appearance package. The 2022 Ranger offers a new “Spash” appearance package with orange accents. The 2022 Explorer will add an ST Line with sporty styling and a high-performance powertrain.
