Ford F-450 Super Duty
In general, the Ford F-450 Super Duty is the most powerful and robust truck in the Super Duty lineup. It offers superior towing and payload capacities compared to the F-250 and F-350, and it can be equipped with 4 different engines, including the standard 6.8 liter, the upgraded 7.3 liter and the two Powerstroke Diesels. This gives the F-450 (properly equipped) a maximum towing capacity of 30,000 pounds conventional and up to 37,000 with a gooseneck trailer.Â
In general, the biggest difference between the F-250,F-350, & F-450 is the size and weight of the truck itself. They share powertrains, though tuned somewhat differently, and offer many of the same trim levels and interior features. So choosing between them means knowing what you want to tow and picking the truck that can tow it! At Heartland Ford, we're happy to help you make that decision.Â
